Hey everyone.
I'm basically writing this here to update my friends who either aren't on Facebook or don't check it often. Um...I'm not really even sure if there is a gentle was to put this so I'll just say it outright. Today I was diagnosed with SMAS, superior mesenteric artery syndrome. Basically, what this means is that a fat pad in my stomach has completely disintegrated due to my rapid weight loss from gastroparesis. With the pad gone my aortic artery has "collapsed" onto my stomach and is blocking the passage of food from my intestine to my duodenum. It is life threatening.
